What We Support

Project Insights

The goal of our public relations work is to make our current activities and exemplary projects more visible. That’s why the people and initiatives that we support take center stage, both in our print publications and on our website. Lighthouse projects both large and small are given a special place.

Here, we provide short updates that reveal current happenings among our projects. In addition, we present in-depth reports and interviews that create a vivid picture of the initiatives that our foundation is privileged to enable and support.

To make this possible, our public relations team visits many of the projects together with the responsible project managers and gets to know the organizations and people on location.

We hope that these reports, in text and image, help to orient engaged individuals regarding possible support from the Software AG Foundation (SAGST) – and encourage them to tread new paths.

The varied program offered guests a glimpse behind the scenes of a special organisation with an impressive history. Lehenhof, founded in 1965 by the Vienna-born doctor Dr. Karl König, was the first Camphill community in Germany.

In the lower and middle grades, reform schools have a great deal of freedom and can offer students an education with the same value as mainstream schools, but a very different form. As students approach secondary school graduation, however, they often find themselves once again in a traditional classroom setting.

On July 23, the Diesterweg families, together with the team from the non-profit organization “Sprachpuzzle” and numerous other guests, gathered to celebrate the successful end of their two-year journey together, which was rich in learning and experiences.

The Michael Foundation of Darmstadt received the Denkmalschutzpreis of the State of Hessen on June 30, 2015 in Schloss Biebrich. The prize is awarded for historical building preservation. “This recognizes the more than exemplary restoration and renovation of Schloss Stockhausen, including the gardens,” said the State Conservation Office of Hessen.

Anthroposophically-oriented special education schools find that their work receives considerable recognition, yet the theoretical foundations of that work are often controversial. A recent empirical study examined, for the first time, special education Waldorf schools from the perspective of their teachers.
