Colorful flashing fairy lights, lavishly decorated shop windows and American evergreens everywhere you look: During Advent we are inundated with sensory stimuli from all sides. That means that making a point in taking time to stop and take a breath and once more engage in quiet reflection is paramount. For it is then that we are actually able to perceive the silent sounds of life in and around us. To use this method to focus clearly on the essential things in life, that are close to our heart, constitutes a major challenge, also for us as a foundation. If we look back over the past year, we are filled with gratitude and truly humbled by the very many projects that we have had the opportunity to bring to fruition in 2019. In close cooperation with our partners and applicants, we have succeeded in carrying the healing impetus into the world. This has us looking forward to many further inspiring and effective encounters in the New Year. We wish you all the very best for the year ahead.
