What We Support

Project Insights

The goal of our public relations work is to make our current activities and exemplary projects more visible. That’s why the people and initiatives that we support take center stage, both in our print publications and on our website. Lighthouse projects both large and small are given a special place.

Here, we provide short updates that reveal current happenings among our projects. In addition, we present in-depth reports and interviews that create a vivid picture of the initiatives that our foundation is privileged to enable and support.

To make this possible, our public relations team visits many of the projects together with the responsible project managers and gets to know the organizations and people on location.

We hope that these reports, in text and image, help to orient engaged individuals regarding possible support from the Software AG Foundation (SAGST) – and encourage them to tread new paths.

A pledge for the orchards in Eberstadt, a protected area for lizards in Bauschheim or a multimedia exhibition in the Reinheimer Teich nature conservation barn: this year, “Echo hilft!” is supporting five projects in southern Hesse that are committed to environmental protection and nature conservation. SAGST is donating 5,000 euros to each project.

The social therapy centre in Eggersdorf near Graz, Austria, offers living and working places for people with severe disabilities. With the support of SAGST, it was recently able to expand the scope of its “day structure”.

What competencies do teachers need so that they can participate professionally in shaping the profound social changes brought about by increasing digitalisation? A current research project by Dr Robin Schmidt at the FHNW School of Education in northwestern Switzerland is developing concrete proposals to answer this question.

School truancy has been increasing throughout Germany for years. More and more often, the pressure to perform, which is perceived to be too high, is the reason for skipping school. In order to reawaken the joy of learning in those affected, Lukas-Schule Mühltal e. V. focuses on the experience of self-efficacy.

Since 2004, the Freiburg social cooperative Sages eG has been committed to trusting neighbourhood assistance and successful ageing. In doing so, it also makes use of digital support.
